Institute for Digital Innovation
Overview
The Institute for Digital Innovation was established to organically collaborate with the D3 Center, consolidate information-related functions within the university, and seamlessly accelerate information promotion at the University of Osaka. The Institute is led by the Executive Vice President of Information Promotion as its Director, and important matters are deliberated in the Institute for Digital Innovation Council, which consists of the Vice Director and representative faculty members from each collaborative organization.

Office for Information and Communications Technology Services
The Office for Information and Communications Technology Services is an organization established under the Institute for Digital Innovation, specifically aimed at providing planning and management based on the latest information and communication technologies, as well as offering the best information environment to support education, research, and administration.
Led by the Executive Vice President of Information Promotion as its Director, it carries out the following tasks:
1) matters related to information promotion strategies at the university
2) formulation of medium-term goals and plans for information promotion
3) operation of organizations related to information promotion
4) development of information infrastructure
5) advancement of information services
6) other necessary operations to achieve the above objectives.
Office for Information Security
The Office for Information Security is an organization established under the Institute for Digital Innovation, specifically aimed at providing a secure and safe information environment by strengthening information security measures and minimizing information security incident damage in education, research, and administration.
Led by the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) as its Director, it carries out the following tasks:
1) handling matters related to information security strategies at the university
2) formulation of medium-term goals and plans for information security
3) operation of organizations related to information security
4) handling of information security incidents
5) other necessary operations to achieve the above objectives.

OUDX Promotion Office
The OUDX Promotion Office is led by the Executive Vice President of Information Promotion as its Chief and was established to accelerate and realize various priority strategies in education, research, and management through the use of information and communication technologies, while collaborating with relevant departments. This aligns with the “Development of Information Infrastructure Responding to the New Corona Era” as outlined in “OU Master Plan 2027,” the university’s medium to long-term business plan.

Department of Information and Communications Technology Services (Administrative Bureau)
The Department of Information and Communications Technology Services is an organization established within the Administrative Bureau to plan and promote information policies at the University of Osaka. It handles operations related to the Institute for Digital Innovation, Office for Information and Communications Technology Services, Office for Information Security, OUDX Promotion Office, and the D3 Center. Furthermore, it conducts operations such as promoting DX initiatives, operating and maintaining various information systems, implementing information security measures, providing user support, and planning for general information systems, while also focusing on developing information technology professionals.
