OSAKA DAIGAKU INFORMATION NETWORK SYSTEM

Osaka Daigaku Information Network System (ODINS) is the campus network of the University of Osaka and serves as the ICT infrastructure supporting educational and research activities within the university. The campus communication network, which was initially built using low-speed dedicated lines, has continued to evolve by incorporating technologies such as ATM, FDDI, and Ethernet along with the widespread adoption of networks and broadband communications.

The network environment has dramatically changed while responding to various demands including building network communication environments that work regardless of location such as for remote work and online classes, implementing countermeasures against increasingly sophisticated and complex cyber-attacks, and developing ICT infrastructure associated with digital transformation (DX) promotion.

ODINS will continue to evolve as an ICT infrastructure that responds to the demands of changing times and contributes to the university’s development.
