Housing Services

Due to limited space, insufficient capacity of air conditioning and power supply, and aging facilities, we will no longer accept new applications or equipment renewals. In addition, we will also stop accepting requests for the replacement of existing equipment.

The installation of new equipment will be taken over by the Secure Housing Service in the Data Core Building, which provides a more secure environment.

Overview

We provide “Housing Services” at the D3 Center facilities.
The service aims to contribute to reducing the university’s management costs and environmental impact. We offer an environment for consolidating systems related to research, education, university management, network communication, and more.
Our facilities include a secure server room, efficient air-conditioning and cooling systems, power supply equipment, network and communication infrastructure, and more.

Usage

Housing Services has two types of usage options:

  • Rack Sharing: -> (Annual fee, billed as a fixed amount)
The annual fee, billed as a fixed amount, is based on the declared electricity rating of your system.
Usage rates will be reviewed annually, taking into account the electricity rates established by the University for the previous year.
  • Rack Occupancy: -> (Monthly billing based on actual measurements)
The monthly billing based on actual measurements reflects the amount of electricity actually used by your system.
The unit price of electricity is determined by an index set by the University, and the rate is reviewed on a monthly basis in conjunction with the actual electricity consumption.

Facilities:
The facilities include racks, distribution boards, circuit breakers, and network switches (upstream only). Modules, UTP cables, and optical fiber cables must be provided by each user. Additionally, electrical outlets are available. If you require other standards not included in the facility, or if you wish to add missing equipment or modify the existing facilities, you may do so at your own expense. However, any additions or changes to the facilities must be discussed separately with the D3 Center.
